Travis,
Very nice work that car is awesome,it will look really sharp once it's finished.I think it would of also looked cool with the original color paint also.
Later Mark.

Man, that car is going to be bad to the bone!!! Loved the Galaxie you drove, as well.
Do you know what it's going to weigh? Are all t hose holes in the doors for weight reduction?

I am shooting for 3300 with driver if that is possible, probably be closer to 3450 in all reality though. The Lenco weighs a ton. The holes in the doors are for lightening purposes as well as the crash bars have been removed. I left enough meat in the doors so the window regulators and glass would still roll up and down without binding everything up. I keep seeing better ways to make things and that really slows me down and gets me off track a little. But I think the end result will be well worth it.

I really wanted to stay away from the turqoiuse deal, Greg Cook has his 63 1/2 painted close to that color and we freqeunt the same racetracks. I did however almost paint the thing Lime-Gold like on the 67-68 Mustangs and now even the 2007-2009 had a color very similar to that. I wanted everyone to associate the Silver 62 as mine an and mine only. Some what like the Green 65, hardly any others out there. I truthfully have never seen a Silver 62 , let alone with red interior, they made them that way but the colors faded so bad back in the day that the cars got painted a different color the second time around.

Thanks, was not sure about the Boss 9 enlarged scoop, but I think it looks fairly era correct for a 60's model car. I have done the teardop thing, even supersized the 65 scoop ................... it turned out real nice but never again. What a PITA.

Travis,
That makes sense after i said that i remembered Greg Cooks car was pretty close to that color.Make sure you post pictures here when it's finished,i bet the Booze Brothers really like it.If you talk to Charlie Booze Jr. or Brian Eyler tell them Mark Miller said hello.

I have not dealt with Charlie for about 5-6 years now. I occasionally run on to them at the local racetrack but they have bigger fish to fry with the HotStreet car now and run at least 3 series that I know of. They are very sucessful and I wish them well but I don't even think they know I have this car. I would love to see them get the Redliner and PaleRider car back out, but right now Brian is in the dirt car mode, and Charlie now has a daughter and runs 3 series, no time for other stuff.
I talk to Brian pretty regular, he is a good friend and now has his Mach back together and street worthy. I think he built a pump gas 532 and it still runs mid tens. Been talking with him about picking parts for my 67 F-250 towing vehicle.

Re: Galaxie Build
Travis your 62 reminds me of one I help a friend build for his dad's 62 we put new floor boards, redone around the trunk where the trunk seal goes, and in the trunk where the lower qt. panel goes to the trunk that was the only rust that was on it.He had it painted yellow with black pin stripes and the inside in black it turned out to be sharp looking car. They sold it not long after his Dad past away and now he wishes he had it back,It was the last project they finished together. I know how it is to get everything on one of them old cars right and you have your looking great can't wait to see it when you finish yours.

Travis,
Tell Brian Eyler i said hello for sure he's a good guy,i bought a Coan Converter off of him.He even delivered it to me on his way to Minnesota,i met him close to the Ohio Turnpike.I think he's the only guy on the two BBF sites that has seen or heard my car run.I drove my car to meet him when i got the converter off of him i think his 2 boys liked my car they seem like good kids,Later Mark.
