First run on the new truck
Pulled up to Sturgis SD, for the Bike Week drags. The truck had been together and ready to run for a whole 36 hrs or so when we laid down this pass. I did a few launches on the gravel road to test it, and nothing was really wrong so away we went. This run was off of the foot brake. I didn't hook up the trans brake until the Tues runs. I watched this vid a couple times on the phone before making any adjustments for Tues.

Not much mud in them after we tossed it all out with them big ole Bogger tires. A person doesn't realize just how deep the ruts are until you go look after the races. I'd say most of the time the ruts are 18" deep while we are running.

First Runs
Rob,
That's a real nice smooth first run. How did you make out ? What do you think your truck weighs now ? Are your running 44" cut boggers on the rear or paddles I forget ?

Mark, they are cut 44's, and I'm guessing about 4,000#. We made only 4 runs, two and out both days. There was some serious competition there, and I was still getting a lot of bugs worked out on the truck and the loose nut behind the wheel didn't help too much either.

I am thinking maybe it's a little tight, but really need to do some more testing. Flashing about 45-4700 on T/brakerichter69 wrote:how's the converter workin' Rob??
The pits around here are usually 150' and times are in the 3's. I don't have a time slip for this combo yet. Maybe we can get one this weekend. Most of the races I do are side x side double elim.Old blue Racin Team wrote:what kinda times you turning and how long is the pit?
