Had a productive vacation....
Winter is coming, and my pole barn is cold as heck. Here are a few before, during, and after pictures of our steps to remedy the situation.
The funny looking tray ceiling is the future home of a lift. The ceiling is 10 feet, but that spot is 13. We intend to blow in insulation and finish insulating the walls to seal the place up.
Ellen and I busted our butts to knock this out, and of course, the job was fueled with plenty of these:

Thanks guys. I couldn't have done it without Ellen. I drank, she measured, and then I screwed. You need at least 3 beers before our wobbly ladder feels steady.

Well,,,,, After a few beers, some of the details get a little foggy. But I'm hoping that I got lucky sometime along the way.....

Beer is Good...Ceiling is Great.....I did mine the same way ,then blew insulation 6" deep on top of the metal. really is easy to heat now. You'll be surprised how big of a difference it'll make Jeff. You'll feel like drinking and screwing all the time out there now!!

Re: Had a productive vacation....
People always tell me that we should fix up that old Mustang. As it turns out, we did almost 20 years ago. It is an S code, 3 speed, 3.00: 1, non GT according to the Marti report. It was aqua colored with a standard black interior. I found it in Richmond a long time ago, a gutted former 427 powered race car, and bought it for 125 bucks. I didn't have any money to fix it up, and my Mom always wanted a red Mustang, so she paid for me to fix it up with a 289/c4/8 inch and she drove it for years with the Porsche red paint. When she had enough, Ellen and I drove it for another decade and beat the wheels off of it. Currently it has a 460/C6 sitting in it on Crites mounts, but I'm leaning towards a 408/AOD drivetrain........ Don't let the red paint fool y'all, it is a 125 dollar car.

Looks great, some pretty straight screwin too considering the beers!! That sure is going to be a bunch brighter too with the white steel.
You'll be able to heat it real cheap, much nicer to work in the warm shop.
