We are pretty exicited around here. After losing the original MAR around 10 years ago and having Gateway shut down this year it was getting harder and harder to find a place to race. They have been working hard to get this new track going so I'm glad they finally have the go ahead to get it moving. The best part is its only 40 minutes from my house.

For a few years my oldest brother was the stater at the original MAR. Looks like I will be headed north to do some friendy racing for bragging rights of course against my brothers!!!!!

I believe he is the guy I bought one of the first Stealth intake manifolds from several years ago. He and his wife raced a black 69/70 Mustang CJ car. Later they switched to a big block Ford dragster. They raced at MAR for several years. He had worked with Weiand to develop the Stealth manifold. The one I have was an early one before they named it the stealth. It says Action Plus on it but has the 8012 part number. One of our forum members now owns the Mustang.

When I first met them they had just bought the mustang and retired a cobra torino. One of the few guys back then that sure could make them chevy guys mad made it even better that his wife was the driver. Care to share

His name is Kevin but I can't remember his last name. He is actually very good friends with Ronnie Moss who is the one building the new track. He has a mild 460 in the car now I believe. He's run it at several NMRA events in Open Comp and he used to bring it to the World Ford Challenge races. I'm sure it will be a regular at the new MAR Park. It still looks the same as it did when the Hursts had it.
