29x10.5 w tire ,1.80 first gear glide, nitrous , wanting 6800-7000rpm thru traps ...what gear roughly???

im having a tough time fig this out , i have t brake also ....dont wanna do it twice ....have a set of 4.10s in a box but i have no idea some help would be great was hopping to have the rearend setup next week . 9.50 index car ....might be faster id say 140 mph trap give or take 5mph

depending on how aggressive the lockup is on the converter, the 4.10 will be damn close.

most racers own more than one set of gears, its just part of the tuning process.

What is your engine combo? Do you need to spray to go 9.50's?

I know a 4.56 is too low so your headed in the right direction.I think that would be as good of a starting point as you could find.

no gonna have spray and run hopping 9.50 on motor and spray from there

If you are running 9.50s on motor then I think you need to go lower (numerically) on the gearing if you are going to spray.

I have M/T 29.5 tires, a 4500 converter also, running low 9.40s on motor, running 143mph, and 4.11s put me right at 7000. Of course it depends on how efficient your converter is also.

Put the frosty to it and the game changes, your probably looking at 3.55's or 3.73's depending on how much you put to it IMO.

mid 9s on motor possible 8s on the spray ....may put up money for some p51s .....around 900-950 prob
