I picked this kit up for a smokin deal, & wanted some in put on it from you guys, (pros / cons on "NOS") everything is still in the package never been opened other than to look at.
I've run a "NOS" cheater system a long time ago on the street, had a lot of fun and did'nt hurt any parts with it but with the advancement of products nowadays I would like all the input I can get.

A big Shot, cross bar plate is one of the best plates out there IMO. It has been tested tried and proven true. pull the instructions for the new Big Shot Plates and start baseline tuneups with those tunes, they are much better then the old ones.

This is not a crossbar , its a single bar with 44 holes per side (nos + fuel) on each side of spray bar instructions are dated 2005.... any thoughts?

That's a good plate. I ran it for years. I used a 4 jet spread on it for example 82n/78f 5-5.5 psi Fp.

Hey Jon,

you mean they are useing same plates, noids & stuff, just have a diff. jet table? Suspect

ya know I kinda thought the spread on the instuc. sheet was a bit fat...
have you ever used alky in one ?
I know its a whole diff noid deal but was wondering how the plate would do.

I've never used alky. I do know guys that use e85 and the use a separate fuel cell and run the motor on e85, and race gas in the nitrous supply cell.

I used an NX alky plate with my alky injected motor, it worked ok, and after looking at the spray pattern with the intake off I see why now. For this season I have a big shot plate on it like you have and plan on enriching it with C16, the engine is still alky injected, should get to see some results here in a few weeks.

I know some have run alky through the bs plate, changing the fuel noid etc..and had decent results. Myself I'm affraid the holes may ice up as they are small as hell, the NX alky plate uses very large holes, and the pressure is a lot higher on the fuel side.

Guys have real good results with E85 and nitrous, but it seems they all have around 13-1 compression or less, there is a good thread on YB about this.

Honestly I'd just put the plate on, enrich w gas, leave the eng whatever fuel you plan to run, and follow the new tunups for that plate. keep an eye on your plugs and timeslips......and give it hell. Very Happy
