Best ET with SCJ heads
Whats the best ET seen with ported SCJ heads & nitrous. Mines going 5.60s on 150hp. I have another 150 on the 2nd stage. I have 3.50 gear & a 10" UCC conv. Is this thing capable of going in the 5.20 range?

Chuck,
Im at 3200 lbs and a 83 jet and it ran 5.40's with my eddies , once i get this tune straight on the first kit and lose this weight it should run .30's , im hoping for teens when i turn on the fogger.

It's very possible if the track holds it on the second kit.chuck wrote:Whats the best ET seen with ported SCJ heads & nitrous. Mines going 5.60s on 150hp. I have another 150 on the 2nd stage. I have 3.50 gear & a 10" UCC conv. Is this thing capable of going in the 5.20 range?

121mph....my best 60ft is 1.25.richter69 wrote:what your mph now?
my conv. flashes 5150 off the 2 step @ 3600. Everything is turned on off the t brake. Before i tigth'n the struts, i was pedaling to keep it off the bumper for about 80ft. I'm hoping with 175 in both kits. I can get close to the 20s

Re: Best ET with SCJ heads
Bruno, I'm alittle over 3200, full exhaust with x pipe. I'm going to recam the car in the near future. I'd like to see what this comp 292 cam will do first, hoping it will like the 114 lop sep we put on it.bruno wrote:Chuck,

I don't know, 20's gonna be tough. I know the peddling hurt that mph but your gonna need approx 10 more. That 60' looks good for what you have.

i'm going to turn both kits on for the first time, when I get back to SGMP in a few weeks. I've been trying to get this 150 shot to go in the 50s.

Re: Best ET with SCJ heads
I think you can get there with the second kit, will the second kit be run off a digiset or something similar?
Re: Best ET with SCJ heads
I have run a 5.40 and usually it's 5.41 to 5.44 on motor only @ around 128 mph with ported P-51's @ 3000lb.
I am putting Mr Frosty on right now to try next weekend.

Your right though if your ring gaps and converter aren't st up for it things can get outta hand pretty quick.

im with Jon , me thinks its gonna take alot more then that setup ..... your 60's needs to be in the teens/20's plus you gonna have to get after that 2nd kit pretty quick ...good luck and keep us updated
