Finally making progress on my junk
So far I have swapped out the sumped stock 19gal gas tank for a 5gal fue cell.
Remove the mechanical fuel pump and installed a Holley blue pump (thanks Schmitty).
Moved the battery to the bed.
Removed my old mud racing transfer case and installed the shortest C6 tailhousing made (thanks Frank Merkl).
Got some new 29.5x10.50 Hoosiers.
In the process I have removed 170lbs of weight so far with much more to go!
All that is left is to have a driveshaft made and the normal start of the season stuff, then it's tnt time!!
Last year my best pass was 11.90 @ 110mph.
My goal this year is 11.60 @ ???mph

I think that diet will get you close to that goal alone.

I think 11.60s easy. Think of all the rotating stuff in that transfer case.

Re: Finally making progress on my junk
Well I made it to the first race today.
The day was good and bad in a way I guess.
Both of my qualifying runs for the 12.00 index went bad. 11.90 and 11.87
First round wasn't any better. I got treed and to stay out front the truck went 11.90 to a winning 12.05.
On a good note the changes I made are working. The best all out pass of the day was 11.76 at 112.50mph.
The goal I set of 11.60 for this year just might happen!!
