Finally made it to the track this year.
Been messing with the distributor lately and ended up locking the timing at 32 degrees. Wish I had done this a long time ago. haha
Loaded up my tool box on the DW trailer and headed out to the track.
Made 3 semi ugly passes but the thing went down the track and came home under it's own power. HUGE win in my books.
1st pass: Spins hard in 1, pull 2 spin, pull 3 and then wag the rear end halfway down the track, tire smoke, etc. I was in 3 at about the 60' mark. haha 12.80 @ 121. It was like driving a 1 speed. 2.24 60'
2nd pass: Decide to launch in 2nd. 1.94 60' pull 3rd pretty early again. 11.867 @ 122.3 haha
3rd pass: Go back to a 1st gear launch. I try to take it a little easier at the initial hit. It goes 11.866 @ 122.5 2.10 60'
Bracket car regardless of the 60'! haha DA was 5700' last night. Tires were at 16lbs. AFR was 12.0 at WOT. Throttle response on this thing at the hit is insane. Very fun.
Overall a very successful trip. Car made passes, didn't puke, barf, burp overheat, detonate or catch on fire. Just need to make some chassis changes to get it to hook. I think the nose is just really too low for any sort of good weight transfer. I have another set of uncut springs I am going to put in. I also have another 8.8 with 3.55's I am going to put in. The 3.90's are just too tall for what I am doing (street/strip/Drag Week). The shift light (6000) comes on well before the stripe too.
Very very very happy with it right now.

I love this pic...I think you'll be satisfied with the 3.55's. Keep it up man! You've got a good combo going on. VERY COOL!!!

I just love this pic also! I have never really had the guts to do it. Even years back when I had a street car that I raced I pulled it to the track (a little Ranger pulling a heavy tank). But I do like to see people drive them to and back from the track. Sweet!

Thanks guys! I guess it's one of the benefits of having a track so close to your house! (6 miles or so) I like to razz my friends as they are loading and unloading their cars. lol Pulling the little trailer is easier and safer than loading all my stuff in the car and then having to leave it all sitting on the ground while making passes. 4 tires will sit down across the back if I ever need to take different wheels/tires with me.
Did a BUNCH of reading on yellowbullet yesterday about making Fox body cars hook. Verified some stuff I was thinking and gave me some new stuff to check.
Note Hobbs approved water pump. haha
