switch from a460 to???
Thinking about a switch. I am never going to have time to race this truck seriously. I am thinking about selling my a460 heads, intake and pistons for my 588 combo. I don't want to give up on everything. So I know this will bring alot of different views. What would be a good head for this combo. Pump gas still. It will see the track a few times. I would like to break 700 horse if still possible after stepping down on heads. I just need cash to finish shop and this is the most logical way for me to do it right now. I won't be buying heads until next year anyway. Thanks

I'd keep what you've got, 700 hp on pump gas will be a breeze at 588" with the a460's
You only going to loose money selling them and buying something new later.......

Was shooting for the high 8 to 900 horse range if I kept those. Just need some cash to finish building. Concrete and stuff were more than I planned. If I had old house sold it would help. Can't sell it until new garage is up. No place to put tools and such. Thought about renting other place and just not letting them in shop. Just enough to pay mortgage on that property

Cheaper to rent a small storage unit.

I thought about the storage unit. I need five units i think. Might end up going that route. Old house will be paid off in a couple years. Paying two mortgages gets old, but this was a family home that came up. Wife has loved this new place since she was 16. 38 now

Hemi! There's a build on here somewhere that Rich Wilhelm did that's a pump gas Boss 9 that makes around 900 hp.
Re: switch from a460 to???
From previous builds i have seen with 557 making 800 plus on pump gas i felt confident thay the 588time would be close to 900. Especially with the people involved. Its in Kentucky. Just figured i would step down some since i wont need big power now.

what if you were to pour 1/2 of the new building move the stuff out of the house then rent it?you keep moor money in your pocket not renting storage and keep your heads.

Thats been a thought. Could pour front half and stay off back half. Tubing for heat and stuff on ground. Might see if my Cleveland or y block stuff will sell. I went smaller on new building than planned to save cash.

Re: switch from a460 to???
Thank you for the offers on trades everyone. Unfortunately that won't help me. I need the cash to finish my shop. The cheaper heads ate something I was considering when I get back in this engine.
