NOS Plate ?

Have a friend thats trying to find out if he has a preset nos plate or what..Its a thin black nos plate with 17 holes.. 34 total....Noids listed below...

NOS 16045 Nitrous Solenoid > ProShot
NOS 16050 Fuel Solenoid > Cheater

Sounds like a "Cheater"plate to me,just a guess though,look at the jet setting,if the nos jet is higher than the fuel?, then it is the upto date plate.Hope this helps ,MAVMAN

I have always ran other brands besides nos , so i dont much about the nos stuff..
It has a 82 Nos and 73 Fuel in it now..That shows to be like a 175 or 180 shot

Yes,or more COLORMEBAD,that would be one of the newer kits,its a good plate,I would start with a smaller hit. Go to the NOS sight and get the new settings,your friend and power plant will be happy.Spray Away Bro,"MAVMAN"

Well every setup is different... But we have Dana's 514 (CobraJet crate motor w/SCJ heads) with 34 of total timing on the motor, and pull out 14 degrees on the 82/73 tune up (NOS BigShot plate 4150). Our timing tune-up is super conservative, our heat mark is super low on the ground strap probably due to the 9.5:1 compression and big dished pistons-just a guess though-I'm no nitrous guru!!!

We leave on about 15% of that 225 and ramp the rest in over .5 secs and the car is on the edge of smoking the tires (28x10.5stiffs) on that pussy cat tune-up!!!

Not to highjack this thread - but what is the "preset nos plate"?
I have the NOS p/n 12500 (installed in '93). Did NOS change plate designs along the way? I haven't kept up with this stuff.
Is the jetting chart on NOS' site wrong/different for my old plate?

"4604x4" The new settings are alot more aggressive,say back in the day '93,a 225 shot was 82n 91f,real fat,new settings are more like 82n 73f alot more powerful.The plate you have will work fine with the new settings,Hope this helps you,MAVMAN
