Oil filter relocation kit
Oil filter relocation kit. Does these things cause problems with oil flow?
Im gonna be on motor plates with 21/4 tubing for aheads and figure that space can make building the headers easier.
Thanks

Take a look at Ford's oil filter adapter...screws on your block and allows you to "clock" the filter to a better angle/position without all the hose and leaky connections. Can't say if it'll help without seeing your engine bay, but it might be all you need. Ask Lem.

If your intent is to relocate, my suggestion would be a remote mounting, single unit for a (ugh-ugh) Chevy filter (old style, spin on BBC). I like the larger orifices and the no by-pass feature, as the many lengths.

I don't have problem with flow on mine but have the line come off 2 different times 1st time thought I ran over something and pulled it off,the 2nd time a 1 1/2 years later came off again both times was letting off on the topend on shut down.I havd the line I believe I had the lines to short and the engine plate pulled it off think when I let off the engine might have moved farward no limiters on it I was using my trans mount to keep it from moving farward and backward .I notice yesterday the bolts was out of my mount when I was (clean the spider webs out from under it) that is another story but think when I let out of it the engine moved farward and pulled it loose.Well now my engine is having oil problems and got to come out now.I will have crimped line when the engine goes back in as I have already bought them just can't put them on with the engine in the truck no room to get the wrench on them.I can not blame the oil filter relocater it was my falt for not paying attention to the little things. But I can't run the off set filter no room for it.Just a few things to look at on them

Re: Oil filter relocation kit
I have had no issues running them I used the 90* block fitting and standard Ford/Chrysler filter mount, I have always used barbed brass 1/2" npt to 1/2" hose barb with high pressure hydraulic hoses with double hose clamps on each end. IF YOU GO THIS ROUTE MAKE SURE THE OUTLET OF THE BLOCK ADAPTER GOES TO THE INLET OF THE FILTER MOUNT AND VICE VERSA. I spun the bearings in my first smallblock Ranger swap not paying attention to that.

The bung for the filter housing is removable, Remove the bung completly, and get rid of the NPT fitting for a filter, use AN fittings and braided steel to feed your remote mount filter. No differnt than a removed wet sump pump, or a dry sump assembly.
