To spray or not to spray?
466 Dove -A block ported A-429 heads. Cometic headgaskets, with 14:1 Diamond pistons Eagle rods stock crank. SV-1 mafia intake and I'm putting a glide in. Will this combo handle spray or am I asking for trouble?

Was it set up for nitrous ie; ring gaps piston clearance..., if not I would keep a mild tune in it. Barney is good with the nitrous he could guide you better than me.

I think you can spray up to 250hp without worry you have good pistons and rods watch your tune and let it eat

You should be fine at 2-250 as long as your tune is safe. Start with plenty of timing retard and keep the split fairly tight to start.
Re: To spray or not to spray?
Now by split are you talking about jets for nitrous and gas?

Re: To spray or not to spray?
yes...........
dont buy a kit off ebay etc, Its nice to get a complete kit from Steve at I-S or the like thats been blueprinted and flowed, takes the guess work out of unknown components....... even jets can be off. Plus it comes with 24/7 tech support etc.
I used an old bigshot plate earlier this year and the thing would layover with anything bigger than a 75 jet due to the bars leaking.

i s nod that, don't go cheap on it...you'll be sorry for sure. Start low and sneak up on it, or have someone who worked with your system prescribe your initial tunes.richter69 wrote:yes...........
