Redneck Performance C-4
I have a friend looking at this on e-bay. Does anybody know anything about this company? How about recommending a good C-4.

Don't know about a good C4, but I used one of their T-Brakes in my C6 last year with good results... Though I had to run the band a little tighter with their's, it seemed to work OK...

Never used one of their transmissions or valve body. I can tell you as a comparison of the following trans and valvebodies ATI, TCI ,PA ,B&M, Coan, FB Performance Art Carr and Dynamic Racing trans. Dynamic racing transmission Inc. has the best Valvebodies with no third gear flare. I hope this helps and good luck.

I am using their C-4, pro brake and convertor behind my 347. Stalls right at 4500 just like I asked for. So far it is putting up with 9.90's and 6.30's @2800 lbs. with no problem. A good tranny for the price IMO. What it will do behind a BBF?????

Re: Redneck Performance C-4
I have ran there "loaded" c4 for 3-4 years now.........1 season behind a 383 windsor, and 2.5 seasons behind my 700 hp BBF..........besides upgrading the 3 pinion planet/upping line pressure, it has worked EXTREMELY well, and worth the price for whats out there....their transbrake is the "fastest" ive seen to date...

Re: Redneck Performance C-4
the fastest transbrake on the market for a c4 is a dynamic, the dynamic also will hold the line pressure in High gear, next best is a PA Billet Pro. I run heads up .400 pro tree and with the dynamic .009-.01 lights all day long. the Pa is next with .09- .0199. One of the guys i run with has the redneck and runs them due to the price, but he pulls his more than once during the season he is making over 800hp on the spray, if you make 700hp or less probably be fine anything in the 800-1000hp range either switch to glide or pay for a good c4 dynamic or Pa Pro comp

Interesting.......I also run a 0.400 tree, and have been taking out 0.02 + with an 0.03 slow button......and I agree, 800-1000 hp, its time to move to a glide, etc...........unless you like the maintenance factor...

Re: Redneck Performance C-4
I'm running one of their trans/converter combo's behind a 347. I have 4 seasons on it with a fluid change/ band adj. each season. No other maintainence. I'm going to take it apart this winter for inspection. It's been flawless so far. I'm running Hy-Gard fluid. I've a D1 Big Block that I'm looking at in my shop that I might put in front of it.

If they would stand a 4 sec pass still no way I'd go back..............this combo hated it.

Re: Redneck Performance C-4
on a big block i would go with a glide a small block in a heavy car c4 with less gear is the ticket i have been 5.60;s on the Dynamic M2 with no breakage, but my Big Block car was to violent with the low c4 first gear. so the glide picked it up but when i run the Small block c4 all the way to about 5.50 then switch to a glide
