C6 PROBLEM

HI GUY,S quick question, had a gearbox lieing about my garage for a few years & decided to fit behind a muzzy build ive got, problem is it only goes forward no matter were u position the shifter. park work,s fine but everywere else is forward. could the valve body be stuck,? if i jack it up & run it, would heat free it off,? or isit more serious,? or maybe the selector on valveblock,? any help most gratefull. cheers jonny

the forward clutch pack is burnt up and seized

wouldnt it bind in reverse with the forward welded together????????

One would think so but had it happen and it was like reverse wasn't even their.
