I believe Chuck picked up the rear end housing from Bill the other day. We plan on working in the shop Saturday

Re: Chuck's 1970 Mustang: The Rebuild...
I went up and made Chuck's engine plate and mid plate this weekend, and did a little bodywork while i was there. Eddie and Sue fed me like a "King". Can hardly wait to see Chuck's car when it's finished. It's going to be a "Super" nice car!! [img][/img][img][/img]

League aint got nothing to do with it. I'd hate to see Chuck tear his car up over some small oversight.
So how much is an MSD 8 box these days????

This happened to me during the break in. I had forgot to put a clamp on one of the trans cooler lines. Held until it got hot, then popped off pouring trans fluid on the header. Nice little wiener roast
The small things will get ya!!

I agree, although lots of use the trans mount along with both plates. Just make sure the trans mount is rubber................looks like it is.
I'm jealous of Chuck's ride, gonna have to start me a build like this someday.

Re: Chuck's 1970 Mustang: The Rebuild...
He ain't planning on lifting, so he is just going to wire the accelerator linkage wide open, don't need no stinking gas pedal, just extra weight.

Gas Pedal
The plan for the gas pedal is to use an Aluminum one that bolts to the floor (I had welded a flat plate to the tubing in the floor for this purpose) and has a cable that runs off of the back. It will help with the cramped space and his size "13".
Here is a link to it at the Chassis Shop:
http://secure.chassisshop.com/partdetail/171/
This one is the straight up model, but the tubing in the floor has a little tilt to it so that it will lean to the right some. Will probably add the foot rest to the side to help.
Here is a picture of the underside of the floor, which shows the plate on the left hand side.

Bill ,you might want to run that by the chassis expert on here(Da Coug) and make sure it meets his approval??
