Wow, did you just really do that? LOL
I would suspect they would atleast need to know how big your first hit is. To atleast give some type of referance point.

Re: Hypothetically ???
A friend of mine that runs with us in the dds is spraying 500 on a 434 sbc it runs 5.40 without and high 4.80's - 4.90's with the only problem is it will only last about 6-8 passes and it lifts the rings it was living fine on a 400 shot though.

Re: Hypothetically ???
I'll bet it's tough to say for sure ?? At 3200 pounds the converter is going to play a good part in what it takes to pick up that much ?? My guess would be it will take between 250-350 HP ??? SJ

Don't want to hijack. Just interested in clarification. That's a 73N/63F jet setup in your NBS plate for your 1st stage? If so, I must be running my tune fatter than I expected. ???
I have it backwards right?
I'm running 85N/91F @ 6.5psi 28 degrees timing and ramping it in from 55% to full over a 1.5 seconds spread.
Shaving a second and adding 12mph to my na 1/4 et.
I'm running corrected 9.6@141mph with that tune on my junk.

Re: Hypothetically ???
Really?
All the NOS jetting charts which I begin tuning with for the plate kits are bigger on the fuel jet at 5.5psi. I realize they are fat for safety reasons and I usually end up dropping the fuel jet a few sizes and get a nice looking plug. Never tried evening them out or going smaller than the nos jet with the fuel one on the plate. I will have to test this out. Carefully...

Re: Hypothetically ???
I learned by spending money do not run the nos tunes or the motor rich, most failures are caused by lifted ringlands in nos motors( i lifted 8 ) this is due to fuel getting by the rings then igniting the leaner(more fuel you can burn) the less chance of this happening. I run an 8 jet spread 8 more nos than fuel and have not hurt any parts this year and won the 5.95 championship for King of the streets.org. I read alot on Steves forum on YB and Monte Smith after trashing 8 pistons and so far i have had good luck. the main thing is pull timing read plugs and keep adjusting until you have your specific tune for your motor. when you pull a plug in my motor at the end of a pass it looks like new.

Re: Hypothetically ???
My interest was peaked earlier about your comment.
I've been on YB on the nitrous forum for about an hour now and I am enlightened.
I was pretty happy with my run on an 85n/91f tune using a progressive. The more I read the more I realize how jacked up that factory-type tune is. Ha!
At 6psi fuel pressure, how does something like an 85n/78f tune up sound for a 225hp progressive hit?

yes that is correct ........... you need to call Steve and run your combo over with him and he can get you a baseline tune .....always ck your plugs

Re: Hypothetically ???
i think a true 225 hit will probbaly be a 91 nos jet and 85 fuel jet at about 5.5, but bruno is right call Steve he have been doing this stuff alot longer than most, i am getting ready to send my victor 460 intake for a fogger install, the speedtech plate i have is alright but a fogger is the good mojo.
