DoVE heads for boggin?
I have a D9TE engine and a pair of dove heads that are stock. What shopuld I do to these heads for some good performance. They do need milled so how much should I go? Take out the bump in the exaust ports and some general bowl and runner clean-up? I will be running a victor460 intake with a solid lift cam and a Divinchi Carb. dont know if i spelled that right, lol

Depending on how much you want out of it, the more you can do the better it will perform. I had a set on the old 552 that were done up with some major hand porting, victor match on the intake, and 2.25" intake/1.76 ex valves. They flowed in the 330's intake and it did quite well.

I did a set for Karl a while back, motor made over 600 hp with flat tops, a roller cam and a dominator on a victor.

Be sure to do a GOOD valve job and a "Victor" port match while the heads are apart; minimum.

Them heads did great on the 466 until I ran a bad tune and popped the motor. It's almost back together as the same setup and will serve as a backup motor for the new A head deal I'm workin on

Send them out for porting and bigger valves, there are some porters out there that do really good work on these heads.
