Porting the manifold ports about 2 1/2" inches in from the flange to slightly smaller than a CJ port at the port exit is good for a bit of horsepower with no torque loss if a CJ port head is used.

Torker II and cj ports??? Empty I have a Torker 460 Manifold on D3VE A2A HEADS

Post  Bigmat January 22nd 2014, 5:56 pm

I have an Edelbrock Torker 460 Single Plane  Manifold on D3VE A2A heads, is it wise to port these rectangular manifold ports to match the round head ports? or do I get a proper manifold to suit this head. Question
Cheers

Unless fuel economy is your major priority, I would suggest using a different intake manifold.
The "Torquer 460" is NOT the same as a "Torquer II".

That said ... port matching only the right side of the port while looking directly at the intake manifold flange will help a little. The ports will have a finished look of a "D".
