Does anyone know the shaft diameter on an MSD pro billet distributor (pn8577)? I was going to order a bronze gear to go with my roller cam and didn't realize they came in 2 shaft diameters. Unfortunately, I discovered this after I got to work today so I can't check the shaft until tonight...

Also, for a drag race only application, should I run an advance curve or lock it out?

Thanks.

Alan IMO I would lock the mechanical advance to allow all ignition timing available at start up. If the full timing setting will not allow the starter to function properly you may need to adjust the initial ignition setting as well the amount and rate of mechanical advance.

Dave.
