budget 89 gt

Well I decided to build me a cheap budget stang.
I am going to use my low mileage 71 merc 429 beings that it didnt cost me anything.

And a bunch of extra parts I had lying around
oil pan,xe comp 270h cam,set super comp headers and a c4 deal.etc etc.
Figured I would start with a little head clean up.
going to try n keep cost down as much as I can.
I know its not fancy but I have a stroked fancy deal just doing this one for kicks.

The burgandy stang.I gave $650 for it and hauled a load of scrap for the funds.

After doing some searching on block codes I see there is a good bit of info on it.
But I did not see the one I have so here it is.
D1VE 6015 A not AA and lifter valley date code is sept of 1970.
Its a 2 bolt thin web block.

Changed directions.
Engine is now a 429 bored .040 forged pistons with good pins and good rings
0 decked
aligned honed
With reconditioned rods shot peened and resized with arp bolts.
New flywheel and balancer
all balanced.Next I think I will do a custom cam.
Think I will name it the Wittle engine that could.
