My car on magazine cover

Did a photo shoot a few months ago with a pal here in Albuquerque.  I guess we are going to be featured in Modified Mustangs and Fords magazine.  My pal had been looking to get his car in and the magazine asked if he knew anyone else with a classic stang set up for drag without looking like a full on race car.  I guess the article wanted it to appear as though we were racing on a lonely desert road. He suggested mine, test photos were sent in, and we got the gig.  His is an aluminum SBF on a bunch of hose in a GT500 clone.  Runs low 9's a mile high.  You all know mine.  



Issue should be out this summer.  We are to be on the cover even. I had to give quite an extensive interview about the car, my involvement with street & drag racing, blah blah blah.  I called out 429-460.com as a big help but can't say if it'll get mentioned.

Yes it is.  The guy lives in my immediate neighborhood.  He's big into street racing and has that car moving.  Kissed a jersey barrier with it on a sand swept street last fall but damage wasn't bad and it's back.  He got it fixed just in time for the photo shoot.

He's actually been mentoring my NOS tune up.  The guy knows his stuff.

They got most of the stuff correct. The narrative is pure fantasy. Brian Henry is a pal and there really is no rivalry. Heck he has helped me dial in the hose on mine. And they didn't correct any ET's for the 5000' altitude which is legit. I know print is going the way of the dinosaurs but I was honestly pretty psyched to see my ride in there.

Congrats bud. Totally cool to be featured in a magazine. I got several issues when my pulling truck was featured in True Blue trucks. Definitely a proud day.

Just got my issue in the mail today...What an awesome car glad I got to see more of it in the article. Really nice shots of the car. The other car is nice too. Not so thrilled with the writer of the article. But It was a blast seeing your car in a magazine. Congratulations on an awesome car and feature!! It "only" ran a 9.80 !!!!
