I gave up lease on track and track closed down. The original Big Block Ford Bash may be returning for 2015. If it does HOLD on cause it will be A GOOD RIDE!
Now we're talking.

"It NEEDS to be scheduled now or soon'
Randy, you are waay off base on this. Back in the day when the 'race' was at windy...no Phillip = no race. If he was contracted to run a race for his sponsors and it was on a certain date...guess where he would be?
Does anyone know the date of the 2015 Hotrod Reunion is? That'd be a great date to pick.

If ten or so groups can't make it on that date then 10 others can ... NOBODY is indispensable.

Well...aint we cavalier
Phillip called a few days ago and ask if I'd help like I did back in the Windy days 'IF' he wanted to do another BIG BLOCK FORD BASH and I said yes.
The bullshit you are puting out makes me want to reconsider.

You do whatever you feel you have to do ... nothing I am putting out is "bull shit" and simply because you may not like it or agree with it, won't make it so. Just getting the word out and advance promotion is most important to how many people actually show-up.
I believe that making this all about just the race is a long range mistake for PEOPLE count but, it is better than nothing..
EDIT: Ever been to the Shelby Convention is Tulsa, OK...?
The drag racers are about 1/5 of the people who show-up.
It started small 30 some years ago.

Maybe you were at the the 1st BBF race and if/when you were, you should know that there was an at track lunch and a tech deal sunday morning complete with Jon Kaase etc. which was not very well attended .
It's always been about people.

Re: Ford Thunder thoughts and ideas.....
For me it's always been about seeing old friends again, the racing was an added bonus. If I remember correctly, the first two Bash's I was just a spectator. Hell, the ones after that I had to borrow trucks to get my car up, but it was worth every penny and I knew that we didn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning. Last year I had a blast at US60 even though I was just a Pit Bitch . This year I just didn't have the $$$ to make the event with Mike, to much stuff breaking down on me, Daily Driver, washing machine, computer, and now my Lawn tractor . Now if Phillip and Lem do put on a Bash, I'll make every effort to be there with or without a car

Honest Doug, we need people to think like that. To make it a priority of theirs to be there and bring others with you if you can.
Then it can be more than simply a race ... that is the kind of mindset I am referring to. AND, making it easiest for that mindset to prevail.
Re: Ford Thunder thoughts and ideas.....
Well seems like it's gonna be ran by new people this year and everyone's excited about them doing it so hope they do a good job. I hope they do a good job and have luck getting people there because I didn't. And as for people like richter saying since ull be running it I'll have four or five cars there yea u won't be there just sayen. Good luck Philip running it and hope it will be the best one yet.

and btw it was not in the cards for me to make a haul that way this year. The other cars I spoke of are in pieces still. A year gives me time to get everyones stuff together.

Good Luck to who ever puts on this race went to the us 43 ford thunder race 2012 and had a blast even if i did break the car. This year just didn't have the time, cash or tow truck. I will be looking forward to seeing the dates and saving some vacation days to attend this event and hang out with friends and make some new ones
