What plans do y'all have for the winter?
Going bigger, better, turbo's, etc.?
I hope the economy hasn't put the brakes on everyone's hot rodding!!

Redoing the cooling system a tad, adding a vacuum pump, thats about it.
Gonna keep it together and try and sneak out in early Feb when the track opens back up and get in some mineshaft air and get my 8 sec pass..............
Most work will be on getting the 81 back together, gettin the kids jr ready etc.

Only racing around here in Feb is snowmobiles
Is the JR on alky too? A buddy has his kid in one, they won the championship last year, not sure if the kid or the dad was happier!!

Yep yep!!
My buddy got sick of the gas and did the carb conversion at the track!! Got out the drills and went to it. He later got it all built right. But he said he won't ever go back on the JR.

Maybe you can just cut back to the 1/4 pounders?????
The lexan's nice but it gets scratched so easy......

Just anchor it to your gas pedal.

Re: Winter Build Plans Anyone??
With any luck I will get my engine back
I hope to put it on the dyno before I put it in the truck
A set of break pads move the trans cooler to the back with a fan and a trans temp gage
And lots of cleaning
Rick

winter plans
Well we are going to take the 408 out of the t-bird and replace it with a little 466 tfs headed motor. Of course you know when its out we need to put the tubular k member
and control arms. Now if it can get that done in a timley fashion I need to build a new motor for the torino in my spare time! Anybody that's not busy can come by and lend
a hand. Now this has to be done before the new years race jan 5th [img][/img]

You'll be turning 9000RPM I'll bet you a dollar and fifty cents that you won't achieve that goal in 2010bruno wrote:well going to spend more time with the family this winter......... but as far as the car like to find another 50 lbs to remove ..... install the parachute propably ( dont ask ) and the top end is coming off and going to Induction-Solutions my goal for 2010 is to run 7.90's on both kits
