These cars go to hell sitting in the trailers, huh.

My list is getting longer by the day. Build new 557, build new headers(done), upgrade fuel system(done), convert carb to alky, beefier rear end, new wheels and smooth out the engine bay. That should keep me busy and broke til spring

I'm telling you. Good thing about it, I'm not breaking anything. One of these days I may get to go to the track again.
The girls are fixing to be in their last semester of college so I wont have to spend so much time away from home trying to pay for that.

May not be a problem keeping me out of there Curt. My Thunderbird is in a lot of pieces right now. Getting a complete new cage, sheetmetal, new headers ,probably new gears, and maybe some body work if time pemits. I've got my 91 Mustang GT convertible is in front of it,it's getting a complete make over, new interior, top ,and paint. Gonna be a short winter..Curt wrote:342g wrote:

If I can convince the Crew.
Change rear end gears from the 3:70 to 4:11’s (or 3:89’s) I’ll take some advice from the field on this matter.
Mustang 2 front end. Remove shock towers.
Install bigger than 1 7/8 headers. Redo fuel system to eliminate the boiling fuel effect.
Fix the darn valve cover so there is no way it can touch the master cylinder. (It is just one of those things that I haven’t got done).

House addition comes first, then we'll see what we can get from the boys in KY. If all works out and I have enough time this winter left over, I'd like to get the Ranger body on the chassis and completed.

The stock suspension makes your car cool leave it along it looks right, that cars to nice to cut up. You want a race car find a roach and put a tube chassis under it and stop playing around........

Suspension swap from ladder bars to 4-link, with adjustable coil overs. Gotta big head start on it already.
Thinkin a bigger carb would probly be helpful.

Back half the car, lighter brakes on the front, and stick that blue bottle thingy in the back and see how close we can come to lifting the heads off the block. That's if my new wheels can handle the power .
