Grande' does it again at Buick vs Ford shootout......moar vids

what a weekend, drug the car down fri to get a good spot, as usual Ted beat me there lol. Dave and Billy showed up along w my brother. we dropped rigs and just hung out..... then the rain came som no tnt..... oh well went and ate bbq and drank soda pop and shot the shit for 3 hrs or so. Headed back and everyone buckled down for a long rainy cold night.

Woke up to a very cold damp and drizzly sat mornin...... this should be fun lol. Started warming the car up and found the fuel log leaking, spent next hour fixing that and finally got the car ready to go.... here comes the mist again. Waited it out and made our way to the lanes, track temps are like 55 and the air is good, turned button loose and tires go up instantly, pedal it and run it out 8.69 at 169 and change..... take sb car up there it goes for the bumper blip throttle, it sways all over up top but managed a 9.20 something.

The fast buick makes a pass and knocks me to number 2, folled by Ted knocking us both b
down one more notch..... f that, pack the chute.... back the bitch down a bit at the hit, run it back up there...... turn button loose it rides the bars a good ways out I know its on a pass for a change, goes for the centerline I get it back and now its surging but keep foot in it 7.86 at 170.68 .... takes number one spot.

Teds right behind me but has beeen having starter issues, Jim goes over to help they get it going, cars been having some issues but he manages to go number 2 I think.

They set the ladders, Im number 1 w the Grande and number 9 w the smallblock car.  Sb car is up first I back it down some, goes out and rides a nice smooth 60' wheelie, goes a pb 1.25 60' and a 8.89.... was a little light on the skinny pedal up top it needs a wing real bad..... needless to say i win that round.

Haul ass back and jump in the Grande, I got the guy covered a good bit, turn button loose, instant tire smoke, I tree him good but hes out on me now, stuff it in high and bury the pedal...... I thinkI sucked the paint off him when I blew around him just past the 1/8 mile mark and get the win

get both my plaques again and that cash....... good weekend but man Im glad its over lol.

I was there, but the car is still broke so I was just spectating, but it's still a fun time. The number of fast Fords there was impressive. Seems like there were a lot more 9 second Fords than in the past.

Just did it that once, i thought maybe a bottle issue or i might been light on the throttle and let the wot switch come open a split second.... Dunno for sure. Plugs looked awesome tune was in beast mode
