I would rather throw the lifters in the metal recycle bin, than give them to you Coug.

It is true that one needs to massage some race parts to fit (like the shaft rocker assembly I have). However I do not have to fix mis-machined rocker arm parts. The rocker arms themselves and the push rod cups are fine.

I do not think it typical that lifter seats need lapping to correct shoddy machining. Am I an a-hole for bringing this to light?

I would be out of business along time ago if my service after an obvious quality control issue was not dealt with.

you should feel special coug usually just tells the guy to stick um up his ass..........

agreed it sucks to have a new part like this faulty, if they gave me the run around Id probly lap the thing in and make a note to never buy another crower part again as well as making sure everyone I know did the same..............shit happens with parts, but the customer service in the end is what makes or breaks the deal imo.

Thanks richter69.

I truly have never ever heard of any credible engine builder trying to fix a lifter push rod seat.
It would take far more than $100.00 worth of time to fix the part.

On a 385 series Ford forum I would expect to hear about other persons issues with any parts purchased.
We have all seen multiple issues from ProComp, and other lower cost alternatives. There are certainly issues with some of the big name brands as well.

Thank God for forums (like this one) that allow the airing of grievances.

I just received a phone call from Jerry at Crower. He will be sending me a lifter pair!
I was happy to hear, and hopefully it will not take the next person with an issue several months
to get resolved. Thank you Crower, my faith has been restored.

Festivus is certainly in the air!

Damn....why would Crower replace lifter[s] that only needed a lap dance?
