butterbean wrote:hey Sheldon thanks for asking, got the rest of my bottom end stuff in and got it all cleaned up, started to assemble the pistons and rods and got a call from my sister and found out mom is in the hospital, so I've been dealing with that just about all week, going back today in about 30 minutes, she is getting better and should get out mon or tues. all I have to do is assemble it, I still need a set of stud girdles and a better oil pan, I'm going to use the oil pan until I get a better one, Has anyone welded a baffle in the fox swap pan to keep the oil from running up the back of the block????? kinda thinking about doing it to mine, it should help
Glad to hear you are getting things together, hope your mom gets better soon. You guys coming to BMP this weekend??

Re: SCJ headed 463
thanks 514-F1 that was just a dummy picture but I did get it assembled last night, after checking clearences and degreeing the cam it went together pretty well, I still need a set of stud girdles and a intake (I have mine sold just waiting on payment) it will be ready to install, I took some pics but I just can't get them to upload so gmsmkr is going to do that for me, I also welded in a baffle in the swap pan to help with keeping the oil in the bottom of the pan and I hope it works

The header broke on my time run for Sundays race, there was no bracket race on Sat. For the Fri race, I was .000 on my time run, so I got the bye, but there was an even number of cars, so I had to run someone. I won first round and lost second. I will probably miss the first points race which is Jan 10, unless we get the headers done before then. My friend Tommy Morehouse at Bill Lee Racecars in Palmetto is going to build me a new set, I just have to wait on him to get a couple of jobs done before he can do mine. But I know he will do me right, so I don't mind waiting...

yes its a turdbone 400 but thats what I like, if it was lighter I would have used a Glide, its getting closer every day but what a biotch to install the headers, I'm still waiting for my intake to get here, I bought a ported Victor from Rck532 and my Offy is sold waiting payment

How long have you had the port o sonic? I sold one probably 10 yrs ago on ebay that was CJ port matched and polished on the outside; decent intake.

Re: SCJ headed 463
about 1 year, I bought it off of a member (Denny514) its been a good intake but its port matched to my old C8's and the guy that bought them is getting it as well (waiting on payment) I had it ported and flow tested when I had my SCJ's done and the guy told me it would be better if I just got a Victor460 than hogging this one out, it flowed really good he got the runners all with in 20 or 30 cfm so its got a lot of good work done and I selling it for less than the port job costed me, I hope he sends me the money soon I really need it!!!!
