Mustang II tube chassis build
Hey guys I bought a tube chassis 78 Mustang II a few years ago and it's time I get off my ass and get it done. I liked the car because its a notch and i haven't seen too many of them. I will be running it in S/ST and S/G. It is an older car that I put on a rotisserie and stripped it of years of add-ons and mods. I've got it back on the floor and mocked up ready for its resurrection. It's a 2x3 tube car with ladder bar rear suspension with 14.5-32 tires, the front is an Alston Mustang II a-arm kit. I'm looking for any info you guys may have on crankshaft center line height or ride height info on a Mustang II or a short wheel base tube car like mine. Any pics of headers and mounts would be great too. Thanks Joe
I'll try to post some pics soon, having a tough time figuring it out.

Just to make sure I would recommend you get the tubing checked for thickness.
There was a fairly long period of time when the Alston stuff was all .120 wall tubing that does not pass the minimum .118 spec currently required by NHRA and IHRA.
Just sayin.

Thanks Boss
That's the first thing I did once I stripped it down was take it and get it certified. Had a 7.50 cert on it when I bought it but was several years old. I just had it done for 8.50 and that was no problem. Tube actually measured .134 ish.
