521 Pump Gas build "Honey Bunny"
I have to thank Lem Evans, Phillip Oakley and Jet Boat Bob for building this engine for me. I called Lem and told him I want a pump gas engine for my four wheel drive truck that uses a solid roller camshaft and won't tear it's self to pieces driving to events on the weekends. I also added I'd like to have enough power to act a fool when I want too and have a exhaust note that would send chills thru women and small children.
This is a brief run down, I'm sure I have something wrong and will update as I get more information.

Bob told me over the phone that he didn't mess with any of the correction factors. I'm not sure what that means as I see on the dyno sheet there is some type of correction going on. He just mentioned that a lot of folks add some type of correction that bring the numbers up.

What I find interesting is how similar my build is too Lem's other 521 pump gas build. The other engine was ran on a different dyno and I don't know what else could have been different. They look like twins on paper but mine has solid roller and victor intake. Maybe someone else could inform me.

The correction factors are to correct for weather and elevation (
barometer and temp changes) and also type of test standards like SAE.

Not twins at all.
The SFT engine had a Probe piston with a smaller dish than the FRPP piston = more compression.
The FRPP kit comes with a standard tension oil ring set. The SFT engine had a low tension oil ring package = less friction.
The SFT cam had a lot more exh. duration than the FRPP roller = i.m.o. helped the engine peak higher rpm.
Your engine was dynoed with 2-1/4 headers, the SFT was ran with D. Freelander's 2" headers. It remains to be seen which set was better...I'll let others debate that.
The SFT engine had a o.t.b. mafia intake and the FRPP engine had a ported Victor. Again, I'll let others debate the difference.
Of coarse different day different dyno is always a factor. Neither engines correction factors were jacket with, so I'm comfortable that the difference would be only a handful of hp.
The other engine was not "my project" although I did sell most of the componets in the engine.

600ftlbs and over from 3700-5800rpm looks like it should have plenty of power to turn some tires over!

Can't wait to see the truck! If you ever want to try it on the dirt drag, I have a set of cut tires you can throw on it to see what it's got! Muddy Joe's is coming up soon. You should try to make a race!

I will probably do that, just don't know how long it will take to get the truck together. I've been bleeding Project funds all this time.

I hope the IS Sledge Hammer plate kit will hold me off on engine mods for a while. As far as funds go, I won't be able to paint the truck or run the Dash-Pak gauge cluster.

I have sent Lenny a copy of my dyno results for him to price me a torque converter. He has all ready mentioned that he wished I used a Turbo 400 as those converters are built heavier duty. Him saying that kind of messed with me being that I have over $2,500 in a fully built c6.

Get w/ frank on who builds his converters. Chad and I both have PTC units that have been working nicely.

Re: 521 Pump Gas build "Honey Bunny"
I just got off the phone with Lenny. He really doesn't believe his normal 10" converters will hold, he is calling his vendors to see if he can get a billet unit and back in-touch with me.

I updated the parts list to give credit where it's due. I really appreciate everyone that made this possible!
