C6 cluctch clearance?
How much clearance should I have for the clutches in my direct drum? Freshening the C6 and put in a new drum. This one will hold 5 clutches vs 4 for the one I removed.
Right now, measuring with feeler gauges I have .055 between the pressure plate and snap ring with an .083 snap ring. I can get thinner or thicker snap rings.
My manual calls for .022-.036, but that is for a stock deal. I can get a .095 snap ring to tighten it up a touch, but wondered if .055 is ok. In my racing two speeds (glide lol) I always gor for .010 per clutch plate. Using that spec, I'm not far off.
