Turbo 547 BBF Project Part Out -- IDT Block, A460 heads, etc
This project started a few years ago. I have a lot more stuff to list, but this should get the ball rolling. Anything listed as new was bought new and was used for mockup purposes only. I'll specify if it was modified. It may have minor scratches and likely has some dust on it. I'll send current pics of anything you're interested in. Parts like the block, crank, etc. likely has some surface rust from sitting around. It's always been stored in a shop and not exposed to direct water/rain. Again, I'll give you pics and a thorough description to ensure everybody's on the same page. I'm okay palletizing the heavy stuff and dropping off at a local shipping center, but you'll need to set the shipping up. Everything will ship out of Tulsa, OK (zip code: 74104).
Prices do not include shipping or Paypal fees.
-- New IDT Ultra block bought from Chuck Stevens on 460Ford.com. It's setup with 0.904" lifter bores. New cost: $2,850. Asking $2,422.
-- Rebuilt Turbo -- Garrett UTV9406 -- Only used for mockup since it was rebuilt. Has a 5" v-band flange welded on the turbine housing. Asking 1,300.
-- Used Transmission: C6. Over the last 15 years, I've had this transmission behind several engines. It has tons of extra clutches and upgraded parts, but I don't recall the specifics. It was rebuilt less than 1,000 miles ago, but has been sitting for five years. No warranty on it. Assume you're buying an awesome trans that needs rebuilt. If it runs, which it should, great! All this uncertainty is the reason for the low price. Asking $650.
-- New (2) Magnaflow #12909 mufflers. Never run, but welded into the exhaust. New cost: $306. Asking $260.
-- New Ford Racing harmonic balancer #6316. It's tight on the crank. Not sure if it's the balancer or the crank that's tight. New cost: $300. Asking $255.
-- New Ford Racing crank spacer #10243 modified for custom 36-1 wheel. New cost: $80. Asking $60.
-- New Aeromotive 100 micron fuel filter #12302. New cost: $164. Asking $139.
-- New Aeromotive 10 micron fuel filter #12310. New cost: $136. Asking $116.
-- New Good Vibrations Motorsports fuel shutoff valve #E85310.10. New cost: $154. Asking $131.
-- New (modified) CSU 4150 carb bonnet. I went over it with a sand disc to shine it up a bit. It's not polished, but has a shinier finish to it. New cost: $150. Asking $120.
-- New TurboWerx electric scavenger pump. New cost: $400. Asking $340.
-- New HVH 1.5" aluminum "Super Sucker" carb adapter, 4150/4500 #SS4150/4500. New cost $175. Asking $125.
-- New Megasquirt MS3x -- Map Daddy, ( IGN-1A coils & connectors. Too many details to list. Call me to discuss. New cost $1,286. Asking $1,093.
-- New JGS 60mm wastegate #TK289. New cost = $500. Asking $428.
-- Used sheetmetal valve covers w/ bungs welded on them. Asking $150.
-- Used custom turbo pistons. 4.5" bore, 0.990" pins w/ upgraded 0.180" wall pins. for A460 heads. Have 10 of them. Asking $500.
-- New BBF front cover. Asking $60.
-- BBF Motorplate that's setup for electric water pump. It's trimmed to fit a F150. As such, it can probably be cut down to fit in a Mustang. Ask for measurements. Asking $60.
-- Used Ford Racing oil pump. Asking $48.
You'll find tons of pics in the build thread. I want to provide current pics for anything you're interested in, though.

Jon,
I'm trying to track that down now. I looked on the heads, but didn't see an actual part #. I called Lem's service department and they're going to send me a copy of the original receipt. That'll have the part # on it. My asking price will be dependent on exactly which head it is and it's original cost. Generally speaking, I'm pricing the new stuff at 80-85% of new price.

I had a guy texting me last night who says he's going to send Paypal today. I'd ship it in a USPS flat rate box for $10.

Can you post pics of the super sucker carb adapter? Interested if I can make it work for a project that otherwise would require a solid block of aluminum and a lot of mill work. thanks

Can you send me a text with this request or give me your email address? It's a lot easier to text/email pics from my cell phone than uploading to Photobucket.

That would be me. Payment sent.
I have to say I'm sorry to see you parting this stuff out. I was following the build on the Turbo Forums and on the other 460 site. It would have been a really cool truck if completed. Guess you got to do what you need to do.

Jon,
I spoke with Lem about the heads yesterday (talk about after the sale service!). These heads are about 8 years old and were only used for mock-up on an engine (never ran engine). These heads have 18 head bolts, 2.35" intake valves, and cast chambers. The valve springs have some surface rust on them and they definitely need disassembled and cleaned up.
Best I can tell, these heads match up to the following part #:
TFS-5451T802-M87
http://www.trickflow.com/partdetail.asp?part=TFS-5451T802-M87&autoview=sku
If that part # is right, it looks like they run about $2,900 for a new set. I will follow up directly with Trickflow on Monday to confirm the part #.
I'm asking $2,350 for the set of heads.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Have a good day!

The real question that needs to be asked is? What are you going to do with all that cash???? What new and exciting project are you going to start??

T-Bird Racer & Butterbean: I was planning to use the money to put a Helion kit on my 2015 Mustang. Shortly after starting this post, I was laid off . As such, the money isn't being used for anything nearly as exciting as a turbo kit. Alas, life continues!
I will be listing the truck for sale as a roller separately. Contact me if you're interested in that too.
The following items have sold since the last update:
-- Scavenger Pump
