Re: My 82 GT
That's a lot of excessive material that can be removed.
I see your from Toledo, I'm from just northwest of you in Blissfield,MI. If your looking to tune your car on a chassis dyno check out Accelerated Performance on Termainsville Rd.

Don is a good guy, he helped me put a nice tune up in my notch last fall.

Yeah, He's a good guy. He tuned my friends turbo ranger last summer. He seems to go out of his way to help the local racers.

He's a good guy, he put me in contact with Accelerated. I've only known him for a year or 2.

There is a new turbo ranger in the works right now. He had an extra cab and chassis sitting behind his shop. Sometime next month I think it will be on it's way to a chassis shop to have the cage done.

He told me about his last trip to Milan, a wreck is not a good way to end the racing season.

[quote="1982GT"]I've disassembled one of my Motorsport SCJ heads. I was surprised to see how much blending is needed in the exhaust valve pocket.
this why I pocket port the intakes and do full polish on exhaust on my heads. you car looks nice. it like what I'm doing to my 86/87 drag car replacement

Thank's for the compliment! This is my first attempt at building a truly "matched" combination. Now that I've just received my cam specs, I can send my carburetor out and have it built. Curious to see how this will perform on E85 and small shot of spray.
Good luck with your build. I think I remember you you from a few of the fairmont/zephyr sites.

thanks probably so ,that rancheronut guy crazy man. I still have the 460 powered zephyr wagon, sold all the Z7 due to not finding replacement windshield's. I'm in no hurry to switch to E85 we already have to much corn in the gas at the pumps here. my project will take some time and who know I might change my mind on it. I'm old I can do that.

That looks very nice. Bet it runs like a scaled dog too. I think I am going to do mine in VHT Anodize Blue. I just did a set of Aluminum SBF valve covers with it and they look nice, about the color of your rocker arms. Found some PI heads on fleebay for $500.00 with a torn up seat or two, though, finally but think I will skip them?

$500 is a good price even if seats are needed.

Re: My 82 GT
Yea I know it is. The problem is getting a stack or five C notes in one place. I am like you and doing one engine and planing another, so most of the funds are going to the primary engine at the moment and picking up deals as they come around for the other one. No rush helps get the best parts and deals i have found also. Who knows I may find a nice short block complete for the right price and or a set of big valve ported DOVES if I hold out.

Re: My 82 GT
Getting closer. Had some prowerks fittings installed on the valve covers, then had them powder coated a wrinkle black finish.

I doubt that it will fit under the stock scoop with the victor intake...I really like the 4" cowl hood that H.O. Fibertrends sells for this car.

Thank you. I bought the valve covers from Carl ( carsbycarl.com ). The oil fill and AN fittings are from pro-werks. I had a friend powder coat them in a wrinkle finish.

It's been pretty hectic around here lately, but I've finally managed to start putting the mustang back together.
