The car does have an anti roll bar. The rear shocks were bad when this photo was taken. Replaced them and it brings the front up evenly now. It weighs 2875 with driver. It's a home built tube chasis car that was done in the late 80s or early 90s. Nicely done but not a top notch car by today's standards. It's a lot of fun. Helps me to relieve stress.

I dig a Fairmont. Always thought the hardtops and wagons were coolest...then I saw your car. It kinda looks like the box a car came in. Completely cool.

If you don't mind me asking, how much do you have into this build, minus the block, crank, water pump, and dyno time. I am having a debate with some BBC guys, and wanted some hard numbers.

Re: 466 Aluminum SCJ Cylinder Heads
I can't give you a very good idea as to what I spent on this engine. I bought this car turn key along with an enclosed trailer full of tools and support equipment and a pit vehicle from a gentleman who sold it due to his health a little over a year ago. As it turns out, the block had several cracks in it and the transmission needed reworked. I used the SCJ heads that were on it. Replaced the valves, springs, retainers, keepers etc. I filled and machined up another block. I was able to reuse the pistons. I had to buy new H-beam rods because I couldn't find pin bushings for the old RPM rods that were in it. Cam was junk. I replaced the rocker arms and pushrods because I didn't like what was used before. Also went to a different oil pan. I own a machine shop so I had some stuff, had to order some. I did all of the machine work myself except I had to send the block to a friend of mine to line bore the cam bores. #3 was too small from the factory (.005"). Ended up boring all of them and using five of one number of bearing for a FE. That's the kind of luck I have with my own stuff. We build some BBC truck pulling engines with similar cubic inch and horsepower to this and I would say they would be in the same ballpark price wise as this engine. Wish I had a better answer for you.

Re: 466 Aluminum SCJ Cylinder Heads
Thanks for the reply. I think the biggest savings would be the block and crank. Factory BBC stuff is getting kind of pricey now a days. I have never heard of a 468 making 750HP at 6,500rpm either.
