X2...? Been there Josh. I'm glad I got it back though. I never realized how "The Banana" was until I saw Justin pull into the parking lot with it when I went to pick it back up. Sorry you sold it man. I wish some of us were alot closer together, I could help keep some of you motivated.

What the Heck, is everyone selling their trucks? Sorry to hear this Jones. I hope I don't have to put a call in to The Truck Mafia Enforcer, and have him come down there and give you some MOTIVATION .

Sorry to hear that Jones, but I understand completely. At the rate I'm going on my project, I fear it may be for sale as well...just no time anymore.

Re: 93 F150 528cu project build
I stopped having fun and need to do something to have some fun. Crap just seems like it was getting more exspensive every week.
Right now I am tinkering with my atv and suppose to be finishing the wifes golf cart. It's nice to start something and finish it for a change.

It's not hard to get something over my head. The type of racing I want to do I don't have enough money for.

Well thats the first step...... You need to race what you can afford !!! We all "Want to" but you have to be realistic.jones wrote:dfree383 wrote:You just where getting in over your head and wanting too much from it !!!

I still have a couple of engines laying around, I might find something that revs my engine again. I'm not in a hurry to start another project.

Re: 93 F150 528cu project build
Just be realistic on the next one and don't just tear into it and make a terminal project out of it, get out and race it asap !!! It fun and motovating to have it together and driving, YOU DON'T have to be the fastest one at the track to have a blast !!!

Trust me, unless I find a F250, F350, 4x4 with a 460, I doubt I mess with full size cars or trucks again.

Hate to see you sell it Josh, as I've been watching your build.
I know where you're coming from though, as it's extremely tough to make a full-size car, especially a truck, FAST.
I could take my drivetrain,... throw in in a Fox-Body notch and it would be a hell of lot faster. Not anywhere close to different or unique,.... but deffinitely a quick SOB.

Re: 93 F150 528cu project build
I'll find something, for right now I just want to tinker with small stuff. I have made a pack with myself: " I will never start any work on a project that I can't have completely finished in a weekend." I have kept to this and it's making me extreemly happy.
PS. I sold the truck for only $300! LOL I figured that was as much as I would get from the scrap yard.

Re: 93 F150 528cu project build
Josh I was following your build. Sorry to see you sold it.
That was going to be a sweet bbf truck.
I would love to have a 10 sec or faster truck like you was building. On the down side it would be a longggg term project for me and probably would never get finished. I don't get bored or tired of projects. It's a $$ thing with me.
So I'm stuck with my 12 sec heap trying to get into the 11's and having a blast doing it.
