How tight should the balancer spacer be on the crank?  Empty How tight should the balancer spacer be on the crank?

I picked one up that is hard anodized aluminum and its going to take some metal removal the make it fit.  Its almost 2 thou small, should this be a slide or interference fit?

Slide on for sure , not an interference fit. The maker probably forgot about the "build up" when parts are anodized. You need to hone it.

That's what I suspect as well. A few thou on the OD is no big deal as the seal is pretty forgiving, the crank on the other hand is not. Thank you.

Some aftermarket crank snouts can be on the high side too.
