I have an old 8896 holley 1050 that I want to convert to E-85; been doing some online research on changing metering blocks, etc. Anyone here run E-85 or convert their carb?
Thanks, Sheldon

I switched to E85 last year with good results. Picked up about .15-.2 in the summer and .05-.1 in the good fall air. Car ran much more consistently and predictably on E. I just sent my carb to Mark Sullens with a $500 check and then switched to a hotter spark plug at his recommendation. Didn’t change anything else

His name came up on a lot of the info I ran across; sounds like he knows what he's doing.
Also found another carb/fuel forum with some pretty detailed step by step info & using Bolaws alky metering blocks. E85 is finally becoming much more available in my area; sounds like a great way to go as long as you keep on top of the %
Thanks for the input!

I’m very happy with the decision to swap so far. Testing, blending, and retesting the fuel is a little tedious, but not bad.
