460 truck build Empty 460 truck build

I'm going to start building a 460 for my 84' ford F150 that I want to use for street\strip use. thinking of building 460 30 over flat top forged pistons, DOVE ported heads for now aluminum down the road looking for 9.75-10.25 to 1 comp. 460 truck rods cast crank, cam is where I'm stumped at because I will be putting Nitrous on the motor nothing more then 200hp shot but probably 150 shott. thinking of .224@.050intake and .240@.050 exhaust lift .525 intake .540 exhaust. RPM air gap intake or Stealth intake. looking for 425hp 500tq NA and 625hp 675tq would like to keep revs under 6500. Convertor 2500stall rear gears 3.90 28" tall tires. Or am I way off on my thinking on this setup?

I have a similar build to that in my 79 f350 2wd minus the nitrous... I have stock doves and a weiand intake. I put a comp xe274h in mine. I think that would be a better choice for what you are building.... You might want to consider a torquer 2 if you are gonna juice it. Most of what I've read is a dual plane and nitrous aren't optimum together. Just my 2ยข.

A flat-top piston at .020" below the deck in a 468 engine with D0VE heads is about 10.5/1 compression ratio.
In my opinion, To high for pump gas using an Iron head with your street camshaft; especially with nitrous.

Use a forged dished piston at "0" deck and keep it under 9.25/1.
