finally making progress
[img][/img]I finally got this 1960 Thunderbird to paint. I've been redoing this car for about 5 months. I had all pics of it ,but my computer crashed and I lost them all!! I've rebuild the motor ,took the a/c and heater out and painted the engine compartment, tons of body work,I think it's going to be pretty nice when I'm done(hopefully soon)

Re: finally making progress
Dan, if you have placed any on photobucket or such for any forum posts... you should be able to recover them. I think Doug had a similar issue and recently posted about some data recovery... might check with him to see how much $$$ was involved.
Is this yours, or something you are working on for someone?

Bird Flew
Big Dan,
I am glad to see the progress on the large bird.
We figured that you had been sitting around "choking the chicken" but instead it look like you were sanding it instead.
Stick your motor in a "Bird" of this size and you will enjoy the labors of a heavy ride!
PS..
It looks real nice...home boy...

Re: finally making progress
Rick ,it's the original color. I don't remember the name ,but it's an off white. Keith ,you got to have one heck of a engine in your 58 to make it go as fast as you do..this thing probably weighs as much as my car and trailer I didn't realize it was as big as it is until I got it in the paint room. The trunk and hood are all I can do to handle by myself!! The doors are super heavy too.I'll be glad to get-r-done ,that's for sure Got another frame off deal to do after this one..yeeehaaa

T-birds used to be the top of the line cars. I had a 67 with power seats, power windows and locks, A/C, tilt steering, fold away steering, the nicest white leather interior you could imagine and cool bucket seats to boot.
