power for the rack and pinion.
Has any one ever used the pressure of the transmission for the power steering for a rack and pinion i'm using a c6 trans? I have heard of it being done but dont know the good and bad of doing this. I'm going to drive this truck about 2000 miles or so for the summer.

It's a cool thought but I'm not sure how this would work as the trans pressure changes quite a bit depending on trans demand. I have seen some of the new cars are using electric power steering, not sure if something could be adapted.
Maybe you could try a manual rack with a easier ratio and skip the power steering?
