crank spacer seal question Empty crank spacer seal question

Post  cobra501 March 13th 2010, 2:23 pm

I have the internal balance spacer, fits nice and snugg against timing gear. The outer surface is sealed by the timing cover front seal, what do I use between the spacer and crank surface. I was going to use RTV before installing it to make surre I have no leaks. Is this what you guys are doing.

I've never used any sealer on the spacer.

I understand what your asking, and these guys are right, nothing goes there, nothing needed,if you are worried about a oil leak there put a little silly cone behind the dampner washer, and dampner, but thats not needed there either
