Frank Merkl says he has done it himself with a kit from these guys.

It states this kit is for reaming the original bores, not correcting them.

take it to LSM engineering in pontiac Mi they do all the machine work on the IDT Eliminator blocks. Kirk can set you up with bushings and a set of the keyed lifters

Tell us first how much lift and pressure you are running.
And how many passes did you make on your lifters????
BTW eliminator or SVO Block?
Re: need some one to bush lifters
got it fixed already but it's a svo block the block has about 150- 200 150' mud runs on it and had about 25-30 passes on it when i put the new top end on it ''c-heads new cam and soforth'' the cam is a .972 lift and the springs if i remember right are around 1200# open? i would have to get in the atttic to look @ the box...ericFrank Kramer wrote:fatal addiction wrote:well i just happened to notice this weekend that 1 lifter hole is wore very badly and their are acouple more that are starting toget some wear on them...anybody have any ideas what caused this.. i am thinking it was from big lift cam, high spring press. and i also don't run offset lifters with c-heads??? since i have to bush the block any suggestions on what lifter to upgrade to i was told the 904 would be good but i was also told the 937 would be alot better.whats ya'lls oppinion..thanks

Fatal,
You said that your springs were around 1200 Lb. open. IMO you can run too light of a valve spring,,,,and also at the other end of the spectrum, too strong of a valve spring. That's why Comp Cams lists over 90 different springs in their catalog. Appropriate applications for everything. I believe that your 1200 lb. open pressure is what has galled your lifter bores. IMO if you are running a titanium valve then that 1200 lbs. is too much valve spring with .875" lifters, even quite possibly too much with stainless steel valves. May I suggest that you pull the inner spring out of your triple valve springs and see if there is any hint of the valves floating, if not then run your combo without the inner spring and you'll see an increase in the life of your roller lifters.

I have used Dennys kit in the past with great results. It will not work if you want to move the lifter bore, just lets you add the bushing in the same alignment as before. I have used it for .875 and .904 lifters in a Ford block.
