i was always more of an "real metallica", slayer, gwar kind of guy after i turned 16. now that im older I still like that stuff but i have a wider range in music. old school punk is fun but i like dean martin too. i guess the big hair guys dont bother me but i dont actively listen to it. if its on the radio i dont shut it off.

I hear ya there, but ya can't get much of a workout listenin' to the Rat Pack... I listen to country alot and alot of 50's 60's stuff also, but again just not much of a beat for a good workout... Here's a coule more good workout tunes...

So I might like mostly metal (ish) bands, but I have just enough other music that I don't think I could be called 100% "metal head" from any era. For some reason even though I like a lot of the old blues stuff too like SRV, ZZ Top, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, and even some old Eric Clapton, all I ever seem to buy is the SRV & ZZ Top stuff. I like Jimi Hendrix's stuff too....but I like it better when SRV covers it.

I'm a die Hard Metallica guy....saw Def Leppard for the first time about a month ago (highly recommended)...
However, no one has mentioned Alice In Chains....my personal favorite....check out their new song....bad azz.

Times change....trends come and go...but some good, solid, nasty '80s hair band REAL ROCK music never dies.
