Won't be making it to the bash

The wife and I were shopping today in our local supermarket. And I picked up a case of Budweiser and puts it in our cart.
"What do you think you're doing?" asks my wife.
"They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans," I replied.
"Put them back! We can't afford them," my wife told me.
Well, we continued on shopping, and a few aisles down my wife picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket.
"What do you think you're doing?" I asked.
"Its my face cream. It makes me look beautiful," replies my wife.
Which to I replied, "So does 24 cans of Budweiser, and it's half the price."
By the looks of it, I won't be out of the hospital in time to make it to the bash this year!
