Re: My build, my Fox transformation....lotsa pics
Well I got the car over to Dave at Team Z about a week or so ago. He re-checked everything I installed, scaled the car, put his finishing adjustment skills on it and gave me his seal of approval. I was a little surprised on how much weight I removed from it since the last time it got a weight on it
This Sunday I plan on "lettin er dig"

Your build is impressive. I was going to build a 557 but after all you went through. I give you 2thumbs up for not giving up. But now I think am going to stick with my little 408w.
love all the pics.iam just in to bad of shape now to do all of what you did.I got bad ankles knees hips back and neck.not young anymore.but great build you got there again. You are going to need a 9second license right? And a 8.50 cage?

Re: My build, my Fox transformation....lotsa pics
Here's my latest timeslip. I'm car #25. It was the only full 1/4 mi pass I was able to do since it was a race day and this was the last pass of the day for anyone. Overall that day the car performed well and went the fastest its ever been. This was my worst 60' of the day and I think it was because I had too much rear tire psi. A gear change is going to happen before I go out again.

I will have to say the suspension upgrades did help. It got me .006 - .009 better on the 60' and the car does now have some front to rear transfer as where before it just kind of stayed level.

Thanks man It's been quite an experience let me tell you . I have a very good fabricator buddy - Dominic- who has helped me a bunch and some good buds from this site helping also like Blake aka IDT572 my engine builder, Jon aka richter69, Lem at BF Evans for alot of my go fast parts, Randy aka The Coug, Tony aka yellowhorse7 who has help a ton on my suspension but unfortunately he is on time out right now and just a bunch more on here too.
But let me tell you if you need any advice the above guys are the BEST

I don't see any side wall flex on those slicks, may be time to air down some.

Yeah I agree. I think this was my last pass and I up'd the tire psi too much. The pass prior to this one is one I had to get out of because the car got squirrelly after the the 1/8th and when I got back to the pits I checked the psi and it was at 9 1/2. So I aired them to 12 and went right back up. Probly why that pass was my worst 60' of the day too.

Congratulations!
Great job man! I am in the process of building a similar engine for my 1970 fastback. I don't have the advantage of the local speed shops and builders being in Alaska, but I am still planning on getting her done. Once again great job!

Re: My build, my Fox transformation....lotsa pics
Been a while since I've been out. Almost a year and a 1/2 Oh well.....track prep was zero, car wouldn't hook. Did a gear change between the last time out and this outing went from 3.73 to a 4.10.
I'm car 205. Transbrake quit working and this was an off idle launch.
The pass prior they announced it went an 87 but didn't get a printed slip cause the track computer locked up .It's my fastest ET to date.....got to keep digging there's more
