Re: what fuel ???
The whole racing thing is out of my budget................IMO fit the fuel to the purpose, not the wallet.
Or pull all the naaaaaz off and sell it, buy you some injection with the money and go fast every pass, burn some 2.00 a gallon fuel..............

x2 on the whole racing deal ....... but 6-8 dollars per gallon is much more affordable then 15 -17 dollars per gallon

Re: what fuel ???
At 13.5:1 some 112 should be fine on the Motor and use a second tank with the 116 for the Juice.

Re: what fuel ???
C16 is a great fuel. Another option is to run alky on the motor and use C16 through the plate. We do this with a lot of success on a car we tune.

Re: what fuel ???
Good fuel is cheaper the repairing engine damage !!!
I'm sure you can get a cheaper fuel, but you'll also lower the octane and increase the chances to detonate... I know it's not what you want to hear, but I would stay with a good fuel like C-16 or NO2.. Thanks, SJ

Re: what fuel ???
But you have a nitrous engine! What does it matter if it slows down off the bottle?
It's funny to hear local racers want nitrous camshafts and spray big numbers, then complain about the car slowing down off the bottle. Or the supercharged guy that wants to run the nitrous car off the bottle. Might as well ask him to take his blower belt off if he wants to race.

Re: what fuel ???
That sounds like a good plan! I've seen cars with a small tank on the inner fenderwell for the nitrous system with it's own pump. I've seen small Jaz tanks for this, but I'd prefer an aluminum one if I could find it.dfree383 wrote:At 13.5:1 some 112 should be fine on the Motor and use a second tank with the 116 for the Juice.

Re: what fuel ???
I run 112 on mild tuneups, and VP C113 oxygenated on the bigger tuneups and havent ever had a detonation problem. My motors only 12.2/1 though.

Re: what fuel ???
It don't matter......just jet for the fuel in the tank and do not run a fuel that gives your engine a cast of the 'ass'.
Oakley sprays Q16 ......I've heard you can't do that....what do you hear? And Albert says hello
