they doin it the hard way with the cab on, real tought to torque the bolts properly, hard as hell on the back.

Can have the cab off in an hour and 15 minutes...............

Nick, go over to the parts counter and purchase an STC fitting kit, take it in the back, hand it to the tech along with a 100 dollar bill...........................or wait until it strands you on the side of the road, the tow bill and deductable will cost you as much or more than what I suggested...........

Us techs like cash money..................

Make sure and test the the EGR cooler, I am sure it will turn out to be bad.
If it were mine I would either delete the EGR cooler or put in an upgraded cooler from BulletProof diesel.

he just had coolers put on it a few weeks ago...............

i can tell you i really like the new 6.7 motor but its still new time will tell i guess. but its pretty responsive and i am very impressed with the milage. brad

elaborate what is an STC fitting kit ....and how much are they

Were you running a tuner on it?

I can get a number tomorrow. It replaces the quick connect fitting on the back of the high press pump that will fail...................the only purpose of the quick connect is for fast assembly at the plant..............very poor idea. Have seen them fail to the point the back cover is broken and the branch tube is f-cked...then you got some fun.

Nick, is it covered under warranty? Was it chipped at all?

about 1% of the ones we fix are chipped............the other 99% are bone stock.

How are they killing them then? Lack of maintenance or what?
