This combination made 560hp on a Chassis Dyno with a C4 and 8" converter. At the track it ran 6.38 to 6.42 through the 1/8 and 10.00 to 10.05 through the 1/4 at 3200#

Re: 466CI A429 Heads Roller Drag Car Combo
Russ,
There was not RPM Drop as I could tell. The 534 likes to exceed 7K
I WAS using the same cam and this year I swapped to an Albert Clark Bad Attitude Series camshaft and it picked up a little mph and a little ET based on similar weather conditions.

Russ,
If I told you, then Albert would come for you Muahahahahaha............
276/286 and .785/.777
In time, I'm going to try a 1250 Quick Fuel, I think she will like it.

Re: 466CI A429 Heads Roller Drag Car Combo
thats cool have you tried to pull a lower rpm run on the dyno like about 5500 and check to see where your peek torque and horse was? it seemed like my 557 did good with out of the box cj heads and a mild 675 roller and seemed to like the 7k rpm but when we turned it back to 5200 where it peaked torque at 680 it made better hp in the end it peaked 720 hp at 5600--680 tq at 5200

Re: 466CI A429 Heads Roller Drag Car Combo
This was a build from way back when and the block was already assembled with the 4 bolt caps when I got it. A guy near Bowling Green built the engine for a pulling truck with iron heads and then I swapped over to the aluminum heads.
