Need a few prayers

Was baling hay today and got a call from the wife, she said our youngest daughter Shelby broke her arm on the trampoline. Hauled butt home jumped in the truck and went to meet them at the ER. Doc said it was a bad break and she needed an orthopedic surgeon to set it right. Took her to a larger hospital about 30 miles away and they said it will need pinned. Surgery is tomorrow morning.

prayers for her,i had the same thing with mine last year but not as bad.the little ones take it better than we do.

schmitty you know I know how you feel right now!! It will be ok you watch and see

You don't have to worry about younger kids breaking bones (there tough and heal fast), its the older ones you got to worry about.

I'm sure she'll be fine Schmitty. she's probably in better shape than you on this deal. Youth will prevail here, I had a compound fracture 2" below my elbow when i was a kid. It looked like another elbow,freaked everyone who saw it completely out!! didn't bother me much. I've never had any problems since then with it. but the ones I've broke since getting older ,they never quit hurting. I'm sure from your pics ,she's a gamer. Besides ,she'll get ice cream and pampered for a little while Kids are tough!! Good luck!!

I just got a text from Rob, and Shelby's out of surgery, and doing great. They said she may be able to go home tonight. Great news!

Well the prayer chain is still holding strong. She's home and doing fine other than a little discomfort. She'll be cracking the whip by the weekend. They set her arm and put two pins in about noon today. She has a splint on it with elastic bandage untill next wednesday, then if the swelling is down and everything looks good they will cast it for another 5 weeks then remove the cast and pull the pins and be good as new. She's gonna look like she went a couple rounds with Holyfield though, because on saturday the new boxer pup gave her a real big shiner on her left eye. I will be lucky if I don't get a call from Social Services or at least OSHA. I am having trouble putting pics on PB through my blackberry phone, but I sent one to Doug, maybe he can post it up.

Hope she heals up quick Schmitty!!
