i do not have any experance with it.a friend that is useing the 7531 told me that you put what ever pills in you are going to use.then retard the timeing back to were it will 60ft then you ramp the timeing back up.
he also has the progressive controler i asked him how is that going to work in the classed were your not suppose to have it?he said ill just unhook the ground i would like to be around to see how that fly's around here if it says no controler it had better not be in the car.

Re: 7531 msd launch and gear retards
Are you going with launch or gear retard ??
They both can work and some look at each with pro's and con's..
Launch retard pulls the timing when you set the trans break (which some with tight converters can have an issue getting RPM up when timing is out) and then ramps timing back in timed based.
Using a gear retard is all RPM based. I like this for the most part, but somewhat can bite you. If you start to spin the tire, and the RPM increases (even faster now) it runs the timing in as well and can compound the problem.. Hope this helps.. SJ

I was trying to use both, i am using launch for the intitial hit than using the gear to keep the tires from spinning in the gear change
